It is with a mixture of sadness and joy that I come to the end of my three-year term at Lumen Christi. As many of you are aware, Associate Pastors have a shorter term so we can gain useful experiences and share them with others. In this regard, this month I accepted the invitation from the Archbishop to become the Shared Associate Pastor of St. James Parish in Mukwonago, St. Theresa Parish in Eagle, and St. Peter Parish in East Troy. I will be collaborating with my classmate Fr. Jordan Berghouse to bring these parishes into deeper partnership with one another, and I am excited about this new opportunity. Because of unique circumstances, my final weekend at Lumen Christi will be April 22nd/23rd so I can begin the next assignment at the beginning of May. Please pray for me and know of my prayers as I move forward in my priestly ministry. A priest never forgets his first assignment and the way it shapes him, the way you have all shaped me! It’s been an honor and a blessing to serve you, and I am confident that you will continue to be well-served by our Pastor Fr. Matthew and our wonderful staff! May the Lord Jesus, who calls us to be One Family Sharing His Love and Light, bless you and keep you always!
