Active Membership Pillar: Regular Financial Support of the Parish

The crowds asked John the Baptist, “What should we do?” He said to them in reply, “Whoever has two cloaks should share with the person who has none. And whoever has food should do likewise.”

Today we celebrate the 3rd Sunday of Advent, and the readings today clearly emphasize the need to share our many blessings with those less fortunate. At Lumen Christi, our annual pledge campaign funds all 100+ ministries the parish has to offer for the entire year. By formally pledging your contribution, the parish is better able to proactively budget and maximize our giving to those most in need. As one parish member recently commented, “I contribute to Lumen Christi to support the many programs that benefit the evangelization of our community.”  If you are able to formally pledge a firm dollar amount each year as opposed to using the weekly collections, it is a great benefit to the parish.
