In the first reading, Acts 13:47 states, “I have made you a light to the Gentiles, that you may be an instrument of salvation to the ends of the earth.” This message is not just for Paul and Barnabas, but for us as well.
We are to be God’s instrument. How do we do that? Well, there is no one way to do this. Each of us has our own unique talents. The parish has many different activities to assist us. For instance, you may be great at sharing the good news of scripture to those you meet and the many bible studies and book discussions can give you nourishment for those discussions. Perhaps you feel called to serve those who need assistance, consider joining St. Vincent de Paul Society in our parish. Have a talent in music? Consider enriching our liturgies by joining the choir. These are just a few of the many activities that take place at the parish. Check them all out at on our website!
Our parish is here for us but it also needs us to be a part of it to make it a vibrant community so we can fulfill our vision statement, “One Family Sharing the Love and Light of Christ “. How will you contribute to the parish? How will you be an instrument of salvation?
