After all the people had been baptized and Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”
This weekend we celebrate the Baptism of the Lord! One of the great benefits in becoming formally registered at the parish and supporting the parish financially is full access to the sacraments. Whether you are planning for a baptism or a wedding or simply looking to enroll your children in Lumen Christ School (3K-8th grade), Lumen Christi is there to help, but we ask you to take the first step and formally register at the parish first. Recently one of our new families, when asked how they found Lumen Christi, commented… “We were looking for a new parish when we moved to Thiensville. We had a new baby to baptize, and we were looking for a Catholic school for the boys.” Lumen Christi is accepting new family registrations throughout the year, and we’d love for you to be one of them. In 2025, the parish registered over 100 new families, and all were invited to attend our New Parishioner Breakfast held each October. The breakfast is a great opportunity to be formally welcomed, meet new people, and learn about all the parish has to offer. No matter the size, we’d love for you to be one of our new families!
