Back to School at Lumen Christi

There are so many exciting things to share, as we welcome our students back to Lumen Christi for the 2024-25 school year. Events such as the annual Back to School Ice Cream Social, Sixth Grade Orientation, Smiles and Files, and Curriculum Nights, have offered our LC families the opportunity to take part in events that unite us, and continue to foster our Catholic community.

The school year opened with new spaces for both students and teachers. As promised, our Cafetorium, enlarged front office, relocated teacher’s lounge, redesigned K3-2nd grade library, redesigned student learning/support spaces, and ACES classroom all were ready to go when the bell rang on the first day. To top it all off, the new 3K rooms are beautiful! They are safe, supportive, and fun spaces that allow our youngest children to learn and grow.

One of our families enthusiastically shared their perspective on a fantastic start to the school year:

“I'm so impressed with the 3K staff and the way they are so invested in these children. They meet them where they are, to make sure their individual needs are being met and can have a great experience. My son receives a lovingly warm, excited greeting each morning. He had a rough time saying goodbye to Mom and Dad the first day and Mrs. Prellwitz didn't even skip a beat in the way she comforted him and allowed him to be calmed down and redirected. He had the best first day and has been excited to return every day since!”
