It was on July 1, 2020, in the height and confusion of the global pandemic, Fr. Stephen came to our midst, as gift and blessing from God, to begin his priestly ministry. Even as the conditions surrounding the times were not friendly, with masks and social distancing, Fr. Stephen did prove himself in the Lord in his ministries to the parish community in very many ways and vibrant capacities. He became not only a part of this parish and co-minister with me, but also proved himself a teacher, an evangelist, a co-worker, leader, mentor, guide, friend, and great witness to the grace of God.
Today, as he says goodbye, after three years of ministry at Lumen Christi, to begin his new assignment in Mukwanago, serving three communities in the area, I want to express my personal gratitude, prayers and well wishes for his future endeavors. May he know our gratitude as a community and feel our prayers with him in his ministries.
Thank you, Fr. Stephen! May God bless you abundantly in your life and ministry. Know of our prayers and gratitude for you and with you.
You have been a great blessing – a gift from above. Thank you.
This is my prayer and the prayer of the Lumen Christi family for you:
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift his countenance upon you and give you peace.” – Numbers 6: 24-26
With Blessings of Gratitude, Fr. Matthew Jacob, Staff, Councils, & Lumen Christi Parish Family
