The Lumen Christi Employment Network will hold its 21st anniversary celebration on Wednesday evening, May 3 in St. Cecilia Hall at 6:00 PM. Our guest speaker will be Chris Kolenda, founder of the Strategic Leadership Academy and the Saber Six Foundation. Chris is a West Point graduate, a retired US Army Colonel, and holds a Ph.D. from Kings College, London. He is also the author of three books and a frequent contributor to CNN and other media outlets.
Chris recently completed a 1,700 bicycle ride, starting in Spaulding, Nebraska, and ending in Arlington National Cemetery, visiting the gravesites of six of his paratroopers, who lost their lives while serving their country in Afghanistan. He undertook this Fallen Heroes Ride to raise funds for an endowed scholarship at the Rotary Club of Milwaukee as well as for scholarships for the children of his fallen soldiers. Chris is a national speaker, a uniquely experienced leader, and we are honored that we can share an evening with him.
The Lumen Christi Employment Network was founded in 2002 to support those in job transition. Since then, the program has assisted in 965 placements.
