A Note from Catholic Formation

Dear Lumen Christi Families,

It is our joy to minister to you! Our passion is to bring the love and light of Christ to each child and their family, in order to foster a community of disciples of all ages. No matter your age or experience, there is a place for you and you are wanted.

We have dedicated our summer to revitalizing our program for all grades. We have built upon the good things from the past year with new insight, resources, ideas, collaboration, and direction from the Holy Spirit. We are so excited to share this with you! We fully believe that the Holy Spirit is at work in this parish to bring about a greater zeal and deeper love for God, and that our Catholic Formation programs are part of His work!

If you have not yet registered your K4-11th grade child for Formation this year, we invite you to do so. We have a spectacular team of volunteers and a beautiful community of families. Our hope is that you will feel you belong and you are supported, through all the ups and downs of life. This is a place to encounter the Lord and be cared for by others.

Special note about First Eucharist

We all remember our First Eucharist and young parents look forward to their children receiving this sacrament. Please be mindful that the preparation for First Eucharist is a two year process. Your children must be enrolled in Catholic Formation for both first and second grade or attend Lumen Christi School to receive their sacrament of Reconciliation and sacrament of First Eucharist in second grade.
